50s fair

These shots are also featured on TWOTHOUSAND. The fair was held at the historic Rose Seidler House in Wahroonga. I walked around wide eyed. Feeling like I was catching rare Pokemons. I had to catch em all and each one was more rare and more precious than the last.

pocahontas

She's a strong sexy woman that Pocahontas. We had fun in the dwindling light dancing away the day.

Jenna's coats

I documented Jenna Tapia's coat for our SOYA entry. Its great to see all the little funny details she has woven in. I especially like her use of Happy Healthy Harold. I remember loving his show truck as a kid.

carriage tunnel

To get to Soph and Jessie house you walk through an old horse carriage tunnel. We borrowed some of Fay's slides, drank some wine and fooled around with Jessie's projector.

SOYA entry

Continuing the collaboration between myself and Jenna Tapia. Models: Jessica, Josie, Blake and Freya. Makeup Loriann Tapia. Assistants Jonathan, Roman and Caspian. Location the big bad woods of Carlingford and Eastwood train tunnel. Thank  you to all of you. Models you were spectacular. Putting up with soggy boots you pulled out all stops especially when we needed it most and the rain was pelting down. Thanks Dad and Cas for carrying the generator up and down the slippery dark bush track. Thank you rain for lending our images such a feeling of urgency and emergency.

jeg er fra bergen

Here are some family photos I found in Norway in my Bestemor's photo albums. The first image is of my Bestefar with his siblings in Bergen. He is the littlest at the front of the row. The second image is my Dad Roman with my Bestefar Hans at the family summer house on Oslo fjord. I love this picture for many reasons including my Dad's mustache and Bestefar's expression. The last image is of my Bestemor enjoying the summer 'blomster'.

birthday dogs

Yesterday was my birthday, I've made a quarter of a century. Ben, Leica and I went to Bones cafe in Leichhardt. I try very hard to minimize my ranting about my dog on facebook and in all my photo outlets. But as it is my birthday post I decided to go all out. DOGGIES!!

cabramatta

Isabella and I went to Cabramatta today. Going back brought back many fond memories of my childhood. I remember going as a child to the Chinese kung fu army doctor to get my fractured ankle rubbed and plastered with special herbs. We spent many weekends with Auntie Pauline and her family eating Pho and little plum candies. I am glad it hasn't changed much.

where is the party

Last night I went to party put on by whereis.com. We were told to dress in black, in clothes we wouldn't go crying to mummy if ruined. Despite my attempts at a DIY wetweather cover my camera got hit by a bag of paint dust and turned rainbow. A truly unforgettable party.

lakemba

A photographer friend Isabella and I took a day trip to Lakemba. We spent the day walking around bugging people for photos. I do this for a living (bug people into having photos) so I found asking people for photos on the street surprisingly easy. I liked how people still do their day to day shopping on the main street, getting their fresh herbs from one Asian grocer, fresh meat from the Halal butcher, a bag of lentils from the Indian grocer and so on. We ate beautiful Lebanese pizzas with sour spinach inside and drank Ayran and of course some pistachio baklava.

boys vs girls

This Friday at sneakers boys versed the girls in coolness, hotness, strength, kissing and dancing. It was a close call, but I have to give it to the girls. No doubt the boys gave it their all, but those ladies were on fire.
